Brought to you in conjunction with DMBC, Doncaster Tourism Steering Group, Doncaster Evening Economy Partnership, The Leopard and Lazarus.
Throughout Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd July there will be hundreds of acts performing at various locations round town, from jugglers to mimes to chart-topping indie bands. There really is something for everyone!
Apart from the main dome stage, in the Market Square, three other performance areas will play host to key acts, bands and artists will be moving from venue to venue as the day progresses, performing to as many people as possible in various locations, from designated outdoor stages to pub back rooms.
As well as the traditional artists, many local buskers have been asked to take part in the event and will also be playing all over town. Again, they will be encouraged to move from street to street to reach as many people as possible. Please remember that the buskers have permits to perform and should be treated with the same respect as professional acts.
If more intimate venues are more your thing, there's plenty of entertainment to be enjoyed in various pubs and clubs round town. Some pubs may also feature impromptu acts or performances, you never know what gems may lurk inside...
And lets not forget the kids, young and old! There will be face painters, fire-eaters, jugglers and magicians as well as mini circus and bongo players! You can rest assured that whatever your taste in music, you will be catered for. Confirmed acts include country, rock, folk, jazz and blues, along with Irish and African dancers.
Groovers and ravers are also well catered for, as The Boiler Rooms will be spinning the decks into the small hours of Sunday morning with the ZOO Summer Sessions.
The Party continues from noon on Sunday until the evening, where the main stage in the market square will be showcasing an eclectic selection of some of Doncaster’s finest HOMEGROWN talent! 2 full days of rock’n’roll!
Enjoy the festival.
See you next year!! |
